Our Programs
Health Clinic
Welcome to the FOCOMAH Health Clinic!
The health clinic in Mabriol was initially started by a local candidate over ten years ago. However, following his unsuccessful election campaign, the project remained unfinished and unattended, leaving this community—without any other health facilities—without access to essential medical care. Recognizing the dire need for healthcare services in Mabriol, we at FOCOMAH made the decision to step in and support the completion of the clinic.
Our nurse, Nathalie Pierre, is dedicated to running the clinic in Mabriol. Under her guidance, the clinic focuses on critical health initiatives, specifically the malnutrition program, and provides basic healthcare services to meet the community's needs.
The community and the Kasek of Mabriol have expressed their hope that by completing this clinic, they could offer some services, even if only once a month with the availability of a doctor.
Your contributions will be instrumental in providing essential health services to this underserved community.
Our main objectives for the clinic include:
-
Implementing a program for malnourished children
-
Providing basic healthcare services essential for the community
Thank you for your support in helping us fulfill our commitment to the people of Mabriol!

Child Education Sponsorship
These children need a school that is protected from the environment. They usually go to school that is under a tent and has no type of roof to protect them from the rain and the area that they are in, rains a lot. They only have benches under the tent and no desks for the children to write on. So we plan on building a school that is indoors that will protect them from the rain and provide them with supplies to help them succeed in school.

Some of these children are 11 or 12 years old and they have never attended school a day in their lives. Which means they do not know how to read or write or any vocational skills. We want to provide these children with a curriculum that is formed for their needs where they can learn these skills. Every child deserves the right to go to school and have a chance to make a better life for themselves and we all know the key to this is an education. So please help us by donating to the school program so we can provide these children with a proper education. Currently we have already built a one room school for the small children because we do not have enough room for the older children. In the future we plan to have an entire school inside of a building with many floors and rooms.

Building Homes
We started this program because of the conditions we saw these families were living in. These people are human beings and they deserve more than what they have. These families have build their own homes from whatever resources they can find lying around and families as large as 5 can live in these homes. All they need is a covering to protect them from the weather so they made due with what they have. This is the number one reason so many people died from the earthquake back in 2010. These homes are all over Haiti and they are in no condition to survive an earthquake. When we first saw these homes we could not believe someone was actually living there and then we find out its not just someone but an entire family. When we saw these families in these homes we made a decision to build them a home that they have a right to. We have the means to make a huge difference in their lives that is long lasting and we need your help.

Empowering Women
This organization began in August of 2017, when I visited Marbiole. Ms. Lawrence Aaron from Kings County Emergency Room trusted me with $400 that she had collected for the people in Haiti. Ms. Noel also in our Emergency Room had given Ms. Lawrence money as someone she knew she could trust with the money. When I was given the money I promised myself that I would do something beneficial with it. When I reached Haiti I divided the money between 4 women so that they could start their own businesses. The women in the community saw those women as people they should aspire to be. As the year progressed I collected more money from family and friends to put 8 more women in this program. By supporting and encouraging women, were supporting their entire family.
