Many schools in Haiti do not have a roof so any rain or harsh weather can easily destroy the school. They also do not have seats for all the students, especially seats with desks so the children can write on a flat surface.

The School Program
Before F.O.C.O.M.A.H came to Mabriol, the children needed a school protected from the environment. They would usually go to a makeshift school under a tent that provided no type of roof to protect them from the rain and harsh weather conditions. The makeshift school only provided benches with no desks for the children to write on. After seeing these conditions it became a mission for F.O.C.O.M.A.H to build a school for Mabriol. In November 2018 F.O.C.O.M.A.H build a one room school for Mabriol. One of our goals for F.O.C.O.M.A.H is to build a school building in Mabriol from grade 1 to grade 12, preparing children for a college education. Currently the school is one room and the main goal is to teach the children how to read, write and basic mathematical skills. The children that attend the school range from all types of ages and they have never attended school a day in their lives. Which means they do not know how to read or write or any vocational skills. We want to provide these children with a curriculum that is formed for their needs where they can learn these skills. Every child deserves the right to go to school and have a chance to make a better life for themselves and education is the key. So please help us by donating to the school program so we can provide these children with a proper education.
Child Sponsorship Program
Every child deserves the right to go to school and have a chance to make a better life for themselves and education is the key. However, the parents of these children do not have the means to pay for their children to attend the school. Â F.O.C.O.M.A.H has created a child sponsorship program to help these families send their children to school. F.O.C.O.M.A.H only asks that every sponsor donates $100/yearly for the child they choose to sponsor to send them to school. The donation provides school supplies, payment for the teacher, breakfast, lunch, and school uniform.
